Lastly, click on the ‘’OK’’ tab. You will see two last lines on the hosts, which are supposed to read the following “#:1 localhost" as well as “# 127.0.0.1 localhost"
If you find it hard to edit the file, you can just right click the file named ‘’hosts’’ and select the ‘’properties’’ tab. Once you are done, click the ‘’security’’ tab and select the administrator account and edit.
In the ‘’popup’’ page, select the account again and go to the tab named ‘’full control’’, and then click ‘’Apply’’ and select ‘’YES’’. Once you are done, click ‘’OK’’ in all the pop-ups. Finally, at the end of the file, add the address of the site or sites you want to disable. Insert another line at the end of the file together with 127.0.0.1 and then type the name of the site you want disable, and the site will be directed to the computer.
After blocking the unwanted site, the last crucial step is to save your changes and then make sure you reboot your computer and changes will be effective as soon as the computer restarts
